One of the last remaining members of the Sakakibara clan. She's Naruto's friend and classmate and the adoptive daughter of Kobayashi Sayaka and Eita. She was assigned to Ran Kazami's Team 9 when she graduated from the Academy. Her birth name is Akemi Sakakibara.
Shiro is a short girl that develops a rather voluptuous figure over the years. She has startlingly pale, porcelain-like skin, curly white hair and big, red eyes, framed with thick, long white eyelashes. She's a splitting image of her twin brother, just smaller. She's left-handed.

Shiro is a quiet person that can come off as antisocial and closed off, but in fact she's just introverted. Has a sarcastic sense of humor. She's unerringly loyal, but doesn't give out her trust to others so easily. Kind of like a stray kitten. Oblivious to (and somewhat disconnected from) her own feelings and emotions, sometimes willingly. Often hesitates to bridge the distance between herself and others.

She's the frontline fighter in Team 9. Tanks damage. Takes advantage of her lack of presence to disrupt the enemy.

Support combat. Since she has so little presence to begin with, she takes advantage of that to use misdirection and sneak up on her enemies. Very fast, and what she (originally) lacks in strength she makes up on with technique and precision.

Shiro was born Akemi Sakakibara, one of the twin children of the then-head of the Sakakibara clan. The night before her and her twin brother's fifth birthday, the entire clan was massacred, but she managed to escape. However, she suffered a head injury in the process that caused her total memory loss. She was found by a team of shinobi from Konoha and brought to their Hospital, and was eventually adopted by the leader of said team, Sayaka Kobayashi.
