Verification

Do not DM the mods or other members within the server if you did not read the rules to learn how to get verified in the server.
The key to getting verified is written within the rules, if you cannot find it, reread them until you do.

Language

Even though we do have members from all over the world, all conversations within the server must remain in English!

Age Requirements

This is a 18+ server! If you are under that age, sorry but we are not the group for you just yet.

Introductions

Put an exact age in your introduction. No vagueness or obscurification like age ranges. Avoid mentioning other ages later in your intro as it may cause the bot to autokick (ie. "I started watching Naruto when I was 12 years old!").

To gain access to the server you are required to post an intro with the 🍥 emoji somewhere within the post.

Icha Channels (18+)

The Icha channels are spaces for NSFW/mature content. We understand that not everyone automatically wants to have sexual or otherwise graphic material thrust in their faces even though they are of age, so these channels are to have a space to keep that stuff separate from the SFW general materials.

If you want the Icha role, head to the #roles channel and self-select it there.

You will be permabanned if you are caught lying about your age in this server.

Content Rules

This server is SFW in the general channels.
NSFW or disturbing content (porn, heavy gore, fetishes, nudity featuring genitals, or otherwise sexually charged imagery, “cursed images”, overtly suggestive material) is not allowed outside Icha.

Curse words and mild to moderate amounts of blood, wounds, and other maladies are fine and allowed in general channels without needing spoilers. Artistic/non-explicit nudity (think museum-level) is allowed in general channels with proper spoilers and warnings to them to be considerate to others.

Usernames and icons must also be SFW and unoffensive (no slurs, allusions to horrible acts like abuse among things prohibited) or it may result in removal.

Respect

Please do not engage in disrespectful behaviors, be it to yourself (overly negative self-talk) or to others.
Discrimination, racial slurs, harassment, toxicity, starting fights, and trolling will not be tolerated.
Do not provoke, bait, spread drama, or bring outside drama into the chat.
Spamming or excessive self-promotion is prohibited.

Boundaries

Respect other members’ personal boundaries.
If someone asks you to stop bothering them, please do so or else staff will take action.

Restricted Topics

Please refrain from discussing:
• Real world politics
• Religion
• Extreme Violence
• Self-harm / suicide
• Explicit sexual topics (outside Icha)
• Drugs and related materials

Because of Naruto’s nature, discussions of most of these topics in-universe (as in, within the context of the Naruto universe) are allowed to an extent, but if discussions get too heavy, they’ll be moved to Icha if applicable or otherwise cut.

Staff Rights

Staff reserves the right to remove users for any reason deemed fit for the health of the server.

Threads

The use of threads within this server is highly encouraged.

Privacy

Do not give away other members’ personal information, including something as vague as their state/province or real name, without permission.

Naruto Canon Debates

Debating Naruto canon events based solely on personal opinions is prohibited.
Factual-based discussion, clarification, or questions about canonical events are allowed.
However, anything based on inference, speculation, or incendiary statements is not permitted.

There are many other spaces online to have slapfights over Naruto canon—this is not one of them.

This rule applies less strictly in #🐸﹕headcanons-canon channel, since that space allows more creativity and interpretation. Even there, you are still expected to remain respectful and not engage in heated debates.

Naruto Part 1 & 2: Spoilers always allowed and do not need to under spoiler tags.
Boruto: Spoilers require warnings & spoiler tags (especially if not yet animated).

News

Please do not share Naruto-related news without a proper source. This prevents hoaxes and fake news.

Mini-Modding

Do not mini-mod. This includes:
• Reminding others of rules
• Reprimanding others
• Doing the mod team’s job

If you see issues, DM the @ninji.admin account. Only DM mods for urgent issues.
Keep in mind the team is small and may not get to things immediately.

Art Posting & AI

The posting of art you personally did not draw is allowed, but we ask that you try to credit the original artist whenever possible.

AI art is NOT allowed in any shape or form within this server.
Low-quality images ripped from Google (or similar aggregators) are also not permitted.

We here at Ninji understand that AI is a hotly debated topic.

• We do not support the usage of generative image AI, which is environmentally harmful and often used to scam or exploit artists.
• We do, however, allow discussion and usage of far less taxing text-based AI models—for writing help, organizing, rewording, or roleplay.

Participation in using these tools is completely optional. Nobody is obliged to like or use them, but please be aware they are allowed in those contexts.

Trauma & Personal Struggles

Discussion of personal trauma or real-life struggles is strictly prohibited.
This includes sharing detailed accounts, struggles with mental health, or responding to others discussing such topics.

Any attempts to engage in such discussions will result in moderation action.
This rule is to maintain a positive, supportive, and focused environment.

Strike System

⚠️ This server uses a 4-strike system for disciplinary action:

1st Strike → Bot warning + 1 hour mute
2nd Strike → Bot warning + 24 hour mute
3rd Strike → Bot warning + 1 week mute
4th Strike → Permanent ban from the server

🔸 Rule breaking will result in an official warning.
🔸 Continued rule breaking after a warning will escalate discipline depending on the severity of the offense, up to and including being banned from the group.

General

All applicable rules also apply to Voice Channels.

Background Noise

No loud or obnoxious background noise.
Use Push-to-Talk in your settings to reduce issues.
Mods may server-mute you if background noise is disruptive.

Audio

Audio played through bots must always be SFW unless you are in the Icha VC.

Voice Effects

No voice changers or soundboards unless everyone in the channel is okay with it.

Channel Surfing

No “voice chat surfing” or switching channels repeatedly.

Events & Streaming

During server events (e.g. watch parties), no other streaming will be allowed in voice channels.
After the event concludes, anyone is welcome to stream—just not concurrently with official events.
This ensures everyone can fully enjoy events without distractions or split focus. The mod team puts a lot of effort into organizing these, and we want them to be fun, cohesive experiences for all!

Blacklisted Topics

You CANNOT stream, screen-share, link, or watch party any media that contains blacklisted content.
This includes:
Video games,
TV shows,
Movies,
YouTube videos,
Clips or compilations,
If it's blacklisted, it** cannot** be shown in VC or shared anywhere in the server. Period.

Greylisted Topics

Greylisted themes can be streamed ONLY IF you:
Give a clear warning in the VC text channel, and,
Label the content so people know what they’re walking into.

Original Characters Only

Ninji is a server strictly for Naruto original characters.

• Rewritten or AU versions of canon characters do not count as OCs here. This includes canon characters from other series as well. You can take inspiration from other characters, but do not use a 1-to-1 knockoff of a different anime character as your "OC".
• Real-life historical figures (or any real-life people) also do not count as OCs.
• Please keep all characters fictional.

Discussion of rewritten/AU canon characters should be kept to #🐸﹕headcanons-canon and not posted in OC channels unless it directly has to deal with your own OCs.

OC Acceptance

Any and all OCs are accepted here!

• Secret Uchiha love child? ✅
• Jinchūriki? ✅
• Overpowered / Mary Sue? ✅

Cringe culture is dead — this server celebrates OCs and RPing them.
There is no official submission process for OCs.
Just post your character in the #✨﹕roster channel with the optional template, and you’re good to go.

To gain full access to the server, members must have at least one Naruto OC posted in the #✨﹕roster.

⚠️ Note: Some people may not want to interact with certain character types. Please respect boundaries.

Shipping

We support OC x Canon shipping.
Nobody has exclusive claim to a canon character just because their OC is shipped with them.
Respect all ships.

Face Claims

Using face claims for OCs is allowed.

• Any artwork used must be properly credited.
• Do not use artwork if the artist has requested no reposting of their work.
• AI "art" is not allowed.
• If you are having trouble visually representing your OC, we have links to picrews in the #✅﹕resources channel to help!

🎭 Roleplay Rules

Timeline

Unlike many other Naruto RP servers, Ninji has no set timeline.
Members are free to choose between themselves which era they roleplay in.

Canon Divergence / AU

As a server focused on OCs, it’s common for timelines to diverge from canon.
We encourage and accept alternate timelines or AU setups that fit the player’s preferences.

Just be sure to communicate any changes to your RP partner(s).

RP Etiquette

• Do not criticize or judge others for their RP preferences.
• Do not pressure others into RPing with you, or in spaces they are uncomfortable with.
• Do not DM people begging for RPs.
  Instead, check if they have posted in the #🧵﹕looking-for-rp channel or if they have the DMs Open role.
• You can repost your #🧵﹕looking-for-rp post once a month to bump it up. Please make sure to delete your older post just to be considerate to others.
• This server is already 18+. You do not need to specify that you want an 18+ partner in your LFRP post.
• Do not engage in NSFW/ERP in the public RP channels.

God Modding & Metagaming

🚫 God Modding → Taking control of another OC’s actions without permission.
(Ex: assuming what their OC would do in a situation or forcing their reaction).

🚫 Metagaming → Giving your OC information they could not realistically know.
(Ex: knowing another OC’s backstory without ever meeting them or without permission).

Even if it seems feasible that your OC could know private information, you must first get explicit permission from the OC’s owner.

To help keep Ninji a safe place, we maintain a publicly visible Blacklist and Greylist of sensitive topics.

By joining Ninji, you agree to remain mindful and respectful of these lists.
These topics should not be mentioned or alluded to in text, images, or voice chats.

Adding to the List

Message @Ninji Mod Team to request an addition.
This list is for serious triggers only — not mild dislikes or minor discomforts.
Because of the nature of the server’s setting, not every request can be accommodated.

Enforcement

Willful or repeated disregard for the Blacklist will result in moderator action or a ban.
A trigger is defined as something that significantly impacts a member’s emotional state (distress, panic attacks, PTSD).
These lists exist to protect members who have experienced trauma.
