Inoichi Yamanaka
Tsuki adopted Inoichi as their dad. That also means Ino's their adopted sister. Kakashi def thinks it's hilarious they basically have three dads. (The third is Ibiki).
Tsukiya's known Inoichi practically her entire life. When she was a baby, Kakashi and Sakumo liked taking her to the Yamanaka flower shop. One of her first memories was Inoichi remembering that they loved hydrangeas so he gave them a bouquet of them, and she was about 2.5 years old at that time.
Tsukiya would regularly see him throughout their early years but around the time they become a chūnin, they get the opportunity to work with him. When they start at Intel, they train under Ibiki at first to get a good understanding of interrogation, but Ibiki knows Tsukiya would be better suited to analysis.
At the end of Letting Go, Inoichi starts their training in the analysis unit. He first starts them off by showing them Psycho Mind Transmission, and he eventually teaches them due to the necessity of their job. During his initial scan of them, he was the one who noticed the seal on Tsukiya's memories of Danzō. When he asks about this, Tsukiya tries to answer but can't because of the seal.
When Inoichi is killed in the 4th Shinobi War, Tsukiya mourns him with Ino. They regret not being able to be there for their team in Analysis, instead being too sick from using so much chakra on a previous mission. However, as their kekkei genkai's ghost-seeing ability started to develop, they started seeing his ghost which helped their grief, even just a little bit. In the end of Castle of Glass, he is revived and Tsukiya’s team with Ino and Chōji find him and rush him back to the village. In the epilogue, he starts writing things down in a diary for both Tsukiya and Ino in order to preserve their memories together, as a parting gift since he was given the second chance.
In the story of I Will Not Break, Inoichi is basically deteriorating rapidly and he becomes essentially a zombie of sorts. Somehow alive. It starts slowly, with joint pain that’s worse than normal arthritis. Then, on Tsukiya’s birthday just before the explosion at Intel, he finds himself coughing up blood. At the hospital, he finds out he’s dying all over again. His lungs show that he’s not 43 years old, but in his 70s despite his outwardly appearance. He spends a lot of the time trying to act like everything is fine but secretly, he’s afraid of dying before he’s ready again.
Sensor Type Training
One day in casual conversation, Ibiki mentioned to Inoichi that Tsukiya had a knack for sensing chakra because of how sensitive they are to a lot different things. Inoichi pointed out to Ibiki that meant they were a sensor type shinobi and asked how reliable were their senses. When Ibiki admitted they were mostly winging it, Inoichi knew he would need to help them to hone in on these skills as well as how to suppress them so they don't get overwhelmed.
Analysis
Little did Inoichi know, he was teaching Tsukiya to fill his shoes when he's gone. He taught them psycho mind transmission, how to do the different parts of analysis, and how to use their sensing nature. When he's a ghost, he stands proudly watching them taking over his role, and when he's alive again for a short period, he struggles to reconcile he's not the head of the Analysis division anymore—that was Tsukiya's job now.
