Jūri Hyūga

Jūri was born as the eldest son of Gaku and Ruka Hyūga, and has one younger brother named Shinkai. Being born in the branch family, he always felt stifled and indignant over the injustice branch members faced within the clan even at a very young age. He resented Hiashi a lot.

Jūri was placed in a team alongside his love interest Romio Uchia, wherein the two had a will they-won't they romance blooming, further strengthened after the supposed death of Romio's beloved cousin Obito. However, due to the fact both knew their respective clans were not going to accept their relationship, the two became distant for a while as Jūri operated in Sunagakure on medical diplomacy reasons. However, they picked up right where they left off once he had returned.

Later in his adulthood, Jūri was put in charge of his own genin squad comprising of Hibana Uchiha (who just so happened to be Romio's niece!), Kaiko Aburame, and Shikamori Nara- with their squad in particular being an ideal one for information extraction and live capture of enemies versus a wholly lethal one.

Ultimately, Jūri wanted to marry Romio and the two went to Hiashi and Fugaku respectively to beg for acceptance but ultimately were broken up and inner-clan marriages were prepared for the two of them, with Romio being married off to Miura Uchiha and Jūri to Natsumi Hyūga. After the break-up, the two remained rather close and Jūri spilled the secret behind Hinata's kidnapping incident and the death of Hizashi to her. Due to Hiashi wanting to keep a close eye on him, he wasn't allowed to go with his team to the chunin exams in Kusagakure, with Romio watching over Team Jūri in his stead as well as her own student, Sayato.

Eventually, he continued seeing Romio behind everyone's backs, but when his wife caught him, she pressured him into having children with her to prevent her from telling Hiashi what he was up to. However, this still didn't stop Jūri and Romio's rendezvous and they kept on their relationship until she had perished in the Uchiha massacre. Additionally, his student Hibana had also gone missing a week prior to the massacre, compounding to the massive loss he had already faced.

After Romio's death, Jūri began seeking out more and more women to cheat on his wife with in order to try and drown out his grief, but nothing seemed to work. Due to Hiashi no longer needing to keep as tight a leash on him, he was able to travel freely more often, making trips to Sunagakure regularly to meet his daughter, Zera Unmei. Although the girl was initially unaware her mother's "friend" in all actuality was her father, she soon found out and wanted nothing to do with him. However, when her Byakugan began working, she swallowed her pride and decided to apologize to him begrudgingly because she wanted him to train her to the best of his ability.

The two began training, at first having a rocky relationship due to Jūri's absence in Zera's life and Jūri admittedly being a little jealous of how much freedom Zera had, not being bound to the clan, not having the seal on her forehead, and being able to decide her own fate. But eventually, a genuine father-daughter bond had formed over the years.

During their travels, they ran into the Akatsuki member, Barasu, and tried to take him on. In the battle, Jūri ended up perishing and sending Zera down her a grief-filled revenge-seeking path, in which she ultimately utilized all she learned from Jūri to take Barasu down on her own, avenging her dad.

Jūri was brought back during the Fourth Shinobi World War as one of the Edo Tensei revived shinobi. Getting a chance to reunite with both Zera and Romio, he left the realm of the living once again alongside Romio when the Edo Tensei was undone.
