Overview
This dōjutsu is unique to the members of the Daigo Clan. Originally, their eyes simply turned into a bright, golden yellow colour when used, later - after the clan merged with some Uchiha descendants - from one up to three tomoes appeared on the outer circle of the iris. The number usually relates to the development of the eye, but not having all of them does not make it any less effective in its base functions, and many members of the clan never gain their third. All members of the clan are born with it and it is a genetically dominant trait. While activating it is quite easy and only takes some practice and meditation, to achieve and utilize it in its full power requires a deep understanding of the user’s own emotions. With it activated the user can see the aura and exact emotional state of the target, stronger members are even able to manipulate others’ emotions to an extent. However, it can be really draining mentally and emotionally, and if used on too often or an extended period of time, it can also lead to headaches, nightmares and in more serious cases strong hallucinations. Some members of the clan are able to cast emotion based genjutsu with it, they are viewed among the rest as being blessed by Inari, but it is not a generally recognised ability. Whether they are able to do it or not depends on the person, one may never know if they don't try. (It is quite a common game among younger teens of the clan to try casting illusions on one another and make the victim either laugh or cry.)
Trivia
- There are still some members of the clan who develop a Kinshinjitsugan that is pure gold, although they are quite rare.
