Resurrection of the Dead

Resurrection differs from the canon revival jutsu in a few ways: - Full resurrection using molded clay to replace the deceased's body. - No strings attached to the person performing the resurrection. - Can live as one had done so before, including eating, drinking, and sleeping. However, it doesn't usually last very long if there's no supporting jutsu such as wood. With Sakumo's resurrection, Setsuna had to use Danzō to infuse wood release in order to keep Sakumo alive for a long time. This jutsu was used in order to give comrades the chance to die honorably in combat or give the resurrectee a chance to tie up loose ends. Unfortunately, Setsuna uses this again to force Tsukiya into giving into her demands. She resurrected Inoichi in hopes giving Tsukiya the mentor and father figure they'd lost in the war back would convince them. # Activation Full activation only occurs in a select few members of the clan—usually those who meet certain criteria: - Experienced heavy death and trauma - Healing abilities (Not required for the ghost viewing aspects) # Parts of the Kekkei Genkai ## Ghost Viewing The biggest, most important aspect of the Kekkei Genkai is being able to see ghosts, otherwise how else does one resurrect them? Depending on how long an individual has been dead for, user may need to summon the ghost via a specialized technique. Most users can easily activate this aspect. However, getting further requires more skill and precision. Usually develops around the age of 15 or 17 in shinobi. Known ghost viewers: - Hatake Tsukiya ## Resurrection Being able to resurrect is a skill very few can attain. One has to be a skilled healer in order to have any capacity in being a resurrector. Known Resurrectors - Hatake Mitsuo - Inochi Setsuna - Inochi Eiko # Cost - It is a chakra-eating jutsu as it requires one to pour their all into it. The fact that Setsuna performed this jutsu on Sakumo, who had been dead for 14 years, while pregnant with Tsukiya astounds most other Inochi.
