A Land of Water clan that the Hatake and Inuzuka clans originated from. The Beast of Misfortune, the corrupted version of the Goddess the clan previously worshiped, cursed the entire lineage with demonic bad luck. While the Inuzuka and Hatake have been freed from the curse, the remnants of this clan are scattered with a divine target on their back.
One of the "founding clans" of Kirigakure, but a political betrayal caused them to not only lose their status, but be forced into an "outsider" position of the Caste system. Neither first class nor third, but in an uncomfortable position
Common physical traits in the bloodline (hair, eyes, skin tone, build).
Blue to Black hair is common, with streaks of grey as they get older. Eyes are always blue when young, but a change to yellow happens due to (???). Fanged teeth and killer expression. Aura of evil (outward, not inner).

They have a unique trait of loyalty. They choose one person (Usually a very wise, intelligent, and respected person for them to be a retainer of) to be loyal to for the rest of their life. This isn't just a vow, but a supernatural ability that binds them. This is also why most of the clan's divisions were based around loyalty and who they served under.

Every single member of the clan in current history goes by the name Inu (Dog) to outsiders. This is to protect their True Name from being stolen by Yokai and unsavory people. If they get close to people, usually nicknames given by others are what they actually go by. The Reveal of their True Name is a sign of utter trust.
