Gokiburi is the Japanese word for 'cockroach'.
Aburame is written with two kanji; abura, meaning 'petroleum' and me, meaning 'daughter'.
A member of the Aburame clan and a shinobi of Konohagakure.

Gokiburi is a slender person with a fair complexion. Their black hair has been shaved, leaving only a shadow over their scalp. A pair of black goggles with opaque lenses obscure their eyes from view and their forehead protector is worn as a bandana.
They wear a long, tan brown coat with baggy sleeves and a high collar that covers their mouth. The coat is kept closed with a series of silver frog clasps, though the bottom is left open starting at the thighs. Beneath it they wear a pair of baggy black pants and black shinobi sandals.

Gokiburi is an enigma, even more-so than most Aburame. They rarely talk and instead prefer to communicate through body language, hand gestures, and their insects. They aren't deaf or unable to speak, it's simply a preference. Gokiburi hates revealing anything personal about themself, even their closest friends don't really know them.
They have a rather misanthropic view of the world, viewing death and suffering as unavoidable aspects of life and showing little compassion for those they've killed in the line of duty.

Gokiburi takes a supportive role, fulfilling whatever niche their teammates can't. They can defend Inoru while he's using his Mind-Body Swap techniques or use their bugs to distract and blind enemies while Mutsuki cuts them down.
Without teammates to worry about, Gokiburi can become a frankly frightening combatant. They often start by sending out their paralytic insects before either taking their leave or allowing their scavenger insects to deal with the threat once and for all.
Mid-long range
Their specialty is overwhelming the opponent with swarms of insects that can blanket the battlefield in darkness and cut off any potential escape routes. Outside of direct conflict, Gokiburi is an expert at reconnaissance.
Gokiburi utilizes Kidaichuu and Kochuu for their destructive potential and use in assassinations, respectively. They have also bred their own roach-like insects that are especially hardy and resistant to chemical warfare.
