刺身 - Pierced body; named for the style of fish cuisine.

The last of the Pureto siblings and the only son. Sashimi was only recently promoted to Jounin before he’s given a Genin team— and ends up becoming their father figure. A lazy, slacker of a man with a good heart and a bad sense of humor. He’s a well known figure in the village— especially amongst the chuunin proctors.

Sashimi is a lean man with muscular arms and shoulders. He’s a faint golden tan, skin tone wise and has pink eyes. His eyes are rather distinct with two rings around the pupil— inherited from his mother. They’re rounded and narrow at the ends. He has a rounded nose as well.
His hair is a dirty golden blond— and it's unruly and spiky. It sticks up in all sorts of ways.
He has a scar across the corner of his lips and a goatee.
His normal outfit is a black standard sleeveless shinobi top. He wears matching black pants with this with a standard black kunai pouch on his thigh. He wears bandages around the bottom of his pants down to his ankles. He has the standard black shinobi sandals ontop of these.
His fingers and hands are bandaged to his mid forearm— for his bow use— and he wears a green flak vest overtop everything that’s unbuttoned.
When in uniform he wears his headband across his forehead— also black. When in uniform he'll also have a brown arrow pouch and bow holder slung across his back.

Sashimi was not a stand out in the academy nor was he dead last. He was middling to average.
He’s a quick thinker— able to analyze a situation to figure out the best way to get away with doing the least. He also has amazing aim.
Sashimi tends to lag behind— letting others do the heavy hitting while he sticks to picking people off one by one with his weapon.
Despite never wanting to be the leader—- he almost always ends up one. He’s good at telling others what to do and helping them figure out the best way to go about things. He’s, somehow, just naturally charismatic.
Sashimi tends to fall to the back— while keeping an eye on everyone else. He’s good at ordering and will move quickly from one place to another.
Sashimi tries to avoid fighting alone. He prefers working with others—- but when alone will almost always go for hidden shots. He tries to avoid being seen.

Friends through his teammates — they meet when he’s a chuunin and become close, flirty friends. Eventually this leads to dating and then— roommates and marriage. They’re a flirty, very relaxed couple. Making jokes often and Sashimi making Genma relax quite often.
Kotetsu and Sashimi have a carefree kind of relationship. They both had a small rivalry while on a team together— but as they grew they became more close knit and pure buddy buddies. Sashimi encourages Kotetsu to slack off a lot of times, though.
Izumo and Sashimi get along rather well— though the latter tends to find him a bad influence on Kotetsu at times. He pushes for Sashimi to try more— knows he can do more— and is glad to see him become a sensei later on.
Sashimi and Hayate were close. He didn’t have many people he was friendly with while on a genin team— but Hayate was the exception. The two encouraged each other and roomed together prior to Hayate’s engagement and Sashimi dating Genma. Sashimi was devastated after Hayate’s death— and it was only the fact he received a genin team that really kept him from dwelling on it.
The student Sashimi thought he would bond with the most. Soba and Sashimi have a somewhat close relationship— with Sashimi being the only parental figure that actually cares about Soba. It takes a while before Soba trusts Sashimi and sees him as family. By the 4th War they’re finally there.
Kumoko had a great relationship with her father to start off with— meaning she didn’t fall into a child like role for Sashimi. The two are close— but Sashimi is more like a friendly older brother to her. Still. He adores his tall student and encourages her bug breeding and her relationship with Yasajo later on.
The student Sashimi wound up closest with— and adopting. Yasajo was hard to tolerate at first but over time the two became closer and closer. Especially once Sashimi offered his home to them. Sashimi took them on as a personal student— and passed on his knowledge of bow fighting to Yasajo. Yasajo doesn’t call him dad— but their relationship is clearly parental.
