Because the Kyuu Clan are very poor at producing chakra, they developed a hunger for it. This technique allows Kyuu Clan members to drain the chakra from others by biting them with their fangs. The user can then use the chakra to restore health or to attack. Once consumed, the user will be able to utilize the chakra nature of their victim. Skilled users can even use this to mimic the victim's techniques. If the user manages to hold down the victim for long enough to completely drain them, it can result in death.
Description
It is possible for the user of this technique to eat 'too much' chakra. Results vary but common side effects are chakra overload and intoxication. Users who do not know how to 'filter' chakra might also end up eating personality traits as well. These side effects will last until the chakra consumed is used up.
Because they can't hold too much chakra of their own, Kyuu Clan members often wear jewelry with special properties that can store excess chakra to consume later. They are basically chakra batteries.
This technique is a hard counter to the Uzamaki's massive chakra capabilities.
Interestingly enough, users of this technique have preferences for which chakra natures they prefer to eat. They swear they can taste the flavor.
