Inspired by the Miyoshi Clan, descendants of the Minamoto Clan. The Minamoto partially ruled during the Kamakura Shōgunate (1185-1333), but after the death of Minamoto no Sanetomo, the Fujiwara and then Hōjō Clans took over regency for the remainder of the Kamakura Shōgunate.
