A medium-sized clan located in Konohagakure. Though many of its members are shinobi, they are first and foremost farmers. Having arrived in Konoha not long after its founding, much of the village consider the Kamakura clan to be the backbone of Konoha’s food supply. It’s commonly agreed that the village would collapse without them.
Crops, fruit orchards, dairy farming, livestock of all shapes and sizes, you name it, the Kamakura clan will have some involvement in it. Centuries of honing their agricultural techniques have allowed them to surpass any potential rivals, none can measure up to them.
They have a reputation for being exceptionally hardworking, tilling the fields and tending to the animals from sun up to sun down. Taking a day off is unheard of, unless someone is on their death bed, and even then they have to be forced to rest.
Though generally personable and charming, members of the Kamakura clan are ruthless when it comes to business. Shrewd, calculating, and uncompromising, anyone trying to haggle with them is fighting a losing battle.
The Kamakura clan have historically been allies with the Akimichi and Inuzuka, having a long-standing contract to provide food for the former and sourcing well-bred cattle dogs from the latter.
Another service they provide to the village is a steady supply of D and C-rank missions; typically commissioning genin to help out in the fields when clan members fall ill or are out of the village, or needing someone to capture and return runaway livestock. Many shinobi attribute their first ever mission to the Kamakura.

The Kamakura clan formed and arrived in Konoha soon after its founding. They were integral to keeping the village well-fed in the early days. Its founder was a man named Jagaimo Kamakura whose son, Taro Kamakura, is the current clan head.
Due to the clan only being a couple generations old, there hasn't been enough time for myths and legends to develop. This also means the clan's origins are still fresh in mind, leaving little room for argument about their history.
Primogeniture
Everyone helps out with farming
Named after fruits, vegetables, and crops
Anyone born into the clan is expected to help out on the farm once they are physically able to. Younger children will collect eggs, feed and brush the animals, water plants, rake leaves, and sweep, as they grow older they’ll start milking the cows, assisting with the harvest, and maintaining tools.
As a show of their respect for the earth, members are traditionally named after fruits, vegetables, and crops.
Duty
Selflessness vs Selfishness
Betraying the clan
Historically, real shinobi either came from low income backgrounds or would disguise themselves as farmers. In fact, many tools used by shinobi were adapted from farming tools, this includes sickles, claws, and even kunai.
Jagaimo means 'potato', Taro is a root vegetable
