The Safaia Clan is the royal family of Kesshogakura. The Safikage is a title given to the eldest son or daughter of this clan when the current one retires. This clan is known for having a special alternative version of Kessho's kekkei genkai, Ragan. All members of The Safaia Clan are born with the royal version of Ragan.

"Shortly after Kesshogakura was founded, something strange happened. A boy was born with a new dojitsu. His parents came from two entirely different clans, neither of which had a kekkei genkai. The boy's eyes seemed to resonate with the crystals. The citizens of Kesshōgakura took this as a divine sign. This boy would become the first prince of Kesshō, blessed by the crystals that had been their salvation. This settled the debate, Kesshōgakura would be a constitutional monarchy." - Kessho Page

That boy would also become the patriarch of the Safaia Clan. The minors wanted to establish a new order. They threw away their own aliases in favor of creating a new life underground. Thus, the name Safaia was chosen for the boy with the special eyes.

Traditions in depth

In order to get the current heir up to kage level in a short amount of time, they are subject to intense training regimens. Heirs are often forced to survive on their own in the winding mining tunnels of Kessho in pitch black darkness. Often, they are thrown into pits and told to get out on their own. When they manage to do so, they're thrown into an even deeper pit. All heirs are also trained in finding the 'breaking point' of objects. This is the fracture line or weakest point of contact so that simple touch can shatter the targeted object.
