Machi has two meanings; in Japanese it means 'town' or 'market' and in Igbo it can mean 'cover with wrapping paper'.

Machi is a handsome young man with dark brown skin and an athletic build. His black hair forms thick locs and is pulled up into a short ponytail with a yellow tie, leaving a couple of thin locks to frame his face. Machi's eyes are a warm shade of brown and bordered by short eyelashes.
He wears a short-sleeved white kimono top and a set of black hakama. A golden rope is tied around his hips with the excess rope left to hang down with tassels at the end. Machi's forehead is covered by a yellow headband bordered by red, a thin red line also zig-zags across it. Finally, his sandals are light brown.
