Janome is a clone of Orochimaru created using Hashirama cells and Orochimaru's own DNA. He was made to be Orochimaru's next vessel, a fact revealed to him by Tayuya which caused him to start rebelling from his creator, something that resulted in years of torture and mental torment, so Janome hates Orochimaru deeply. During that time, he developed feelings for Tayuya, she was the one who revealed the truth, showed what it's like to be human, what it means to be your own person. So seeing her die was devastating, he tried to save her, first with medical ninjutsu and then bringing her to a village hoping for help, but they thought he was Orochimaru, running off in fear and trying to kill him. This snapped something inside him, and he never returned to Orochimaru, going into hiding. After Pain’s and then Konan’s deaths, he saw an opportunity to take Amegakure to gain power, at least until he met Doku. Doku didn't see Orochimaru, he was kind, wanted the best, making Janome believe that not all of te world is hell, changing his ways. So seeing Amegakure, the village Doku loves so much, struggle, Janome decided to help, using his flora release to fix buildings, built drains, minor stuff like that that made Ame people sort of respect him. Also still looks 16ish because of Hashirama cells. Janome got a mutated version of Wood Release called Flora Release which is basically just more plant like, all the snake techniques and Snake Sage Mode lie state using his Curse Mark, Janome learned all that watching Orochimaru and had over a decade to train till current events.

Janome has white pale skin, purple snake like markings around his eyes, yellow irises with slitted pupils, and black shoulder length hair. While he switched outfits over time, hhis current one is a dark blue sleeveless kimono style hooded jacket over a black long sleeve turtleneck compression shirt, white bandage wrappings arund his waist, black pants with detachable sections belong the knee which he leaves partially unzipped, blac shinobi sandals, a headband on his forehead with a roman numeral for "one" (I), and Tayuya's old hat thing. He also loosely wears a toolbent around his waist with clips for his three small scrolls.

Being Orochimaru's future vessel, most of his early years involved a lot of gruelling training and experiments.
Around the timehe met Tayuya so wile it was still miserable, being near her and the rest of the Sound Four/Fivemade it better. But then they all died and Janome was back to beng miserable and angry.
Tried to take over Amegakure, got talk no jutsu'd by Doku, and things finally turned around again. And then Doku died, Jaomedecided to hoour his last wishand go through with Gesshoku.

Doku was unafraid of Janome which was unusual to him, he made Janome stop his violence.
