Nemu Kemuri is a 15 year old (18 in Shippuden) kunoichi from Amegakure. Having grown up only knowing Ame as a village marred with rain, dreariness, and isolation from other nations, Nemu longed for the day when she got a chance to get out of the village and spread her (metaphorical) wings, and got her chance to do so when qualifying for the chunin exams in Sunagakure alongside her team. Personality-wise, she's someone who acts before she thinks, and is very bored by monotony.
By Shippuden, she's left Amegakure due to all the upheaval in the midst of losing Pain and Konan as leaders and the upcoming war. She settles down in Sunagakure when the war is over, hoping to get the attention of Kankuro.
