Yasuda (安田) is a common Japanese surname meaning "safe/inexpensive rice paddy."
Azusa Yasuda is the third child of Kohaku and Hikaru Yasuda. A former Konoha shinobi turned samurai in his early adulthood as he was desperate to leave the nest and get away from the oppressive environment of home. He trained alongside the samurai for years becoming quite skilled in swordsmanship especially. He tends to be fairly laid back, except he takes anything regarding his swords with the upmost seriousness. He has a particular fondness for cats and is often feeding strays wherever he goes.

Azusa has long pink hair going past his shoulders and bright green eyes. He wears a white jacket with yellow accents at the fringes and a white shirt with green stripes, blue jeans, and light brown boots. He also carries a sword with him generally.

Having his independence stripped away
Azusa was born as the third of four children in the Yasuda clan's household, and soon after was pit against the rest of his siblings for his father's favor. When he was 6, his younger sister Sae was sent to ROOT. Out of all the kids, he was the only one to inherit pink hair from his mother's Haruno genes.
When Azusa got older, he tended to keep his head down and avoid the favoritism games when he could, however with Shohei and Saori at one another's throats, they would try to pull Azusa in regardless to make him take their side. All Azusa wanted was freedom and was glad to be put on a genin squad if for nothing more than to get out of the house.
In early adulthood, Azusa decided to take off to the Land of Iron to hone his swordsmanship skills under the samurai in the area with the bonus of getting to get away from his family. After stepping back from samurai work, he moved back in to help out his elderly parents. He does not have kids, nor has he ever had the desire to have them because he didn't want to "deal with sticky babies", as he put it. He has had a few failed romances and isn't actively seeking out a partner. He is seen as a failure in Kohaku's eyes for his lack of desire to find a wife or start a family.
Present-day, he does private swordsmanship training in his spare time to earn some extra money on the side.
