Aruto Yuki

Aruto was born in a tiny village in the Land of Water, to Yuki parents that had fled the bloodline purges and found refuge in the anonymity provided by a small, backwater island. The earliest parts of their childhood were unremarkable and happy; their Pa was a fisherman and their Mama gardened and crafted clothing to trade and sell to the other villagers. Aruto was not informed of their heritage.

When Aruto turned six, their chakra coils began developing in earnest. As fate would have it, they carried the Yuki kekkei genkai -- a particularly strong manifestation of it, too. Unable to control its manifestation, Aruto began experiencing symptoms of frostbite. On one notable occasion, they iced over their room in their sleep. In other words: their ice release became impossible to hide or ignore. Their parents were not shinobi and could not teach them control, nor was it possible to keep Aruto hidden from the rest of the villagers. Most of all, their mother and father were afraid.

At a loss, their Pa takes them on a hunting trip to a nearby island -- larger, mostly uninhabited. It's there that he leaves Aruto.

They are stuck, alone, for a year. In that time, a fisher takes pity on Aruto and helps them survive. In time, the fishers allow Aruto to sign their contract, giving them summons. (WIP)
