Ninjibot#800040#000000#400000KIND: Tori is outwardly friendly, and will do just about anything to help another person out no matter what Her friendly nature becomes a tad subdued in overwhelming social situations where she has to participate in large groups, however. She is down to earth, and understanding of mostly any circumstance surrounding an individual. Upon her meeting with Itachi, she found herself able to look past his past deeds, and with the situation at hand she did what she could to get to know him as a person outside of his actions to understand him better. Tori is empathetic and capable of sharing her struggles with others in order to form a bond and a mutual understanding of hardship with another person. She is forgiving, and willing to hear out anyone that needs an ear.
SILLY: Tori loves to laugh, and often copes with the use of humor amidst tough times. She’ll try to make a silly joke out of anything at the appropriate moment. Her humor tends to be on the random side- blurting out anything that really comes to her mind or just making a passing comment to what’s going on presently. She notices when people laugh at her jokes, they can get a bit more comfortable around her, so she hasn’t stopped. She’s just a silly billy. </3 She does what she can to make the mood more light hearted.
PERSISTENT/DRIVEN: If she can sense someone’s hurt and closing themselves off due to this she will go to any length to help them open up and feel safe. Whether this is through buying them a little something, offering a comforting touch, or just sitting in silence with them and striking up conversation to distract them- she will do anything to make someone she cares for happy!
She’s also someone who continuously wants to better herself and get stronger (mainly because she’s scared to die!) so she is willing to do anything in her power to be better- both physically and as a person.
NURTURING: Just naturally knows how to care for another human being- using a calmer voice when something goes awry, asking permission to touch before initiating it for a comforting touch, learned techniques on calming someone else down, etc.
Would often watch the younger kids in her days at the Academy, due to a lack of peers her age and the need for a volunteer’s eyes on the kids. Got along well with them and had a lot of patience for them!
IMPULSIVE: Tends to say whatever comes to mind without fully realizing what she’s saying- which can result in her sounding really, fucking stupid and not to be taken seriously.
CLUMSY: Trips over herself a lot pre eye surgery and this only worsens as she gets used to her depth perception. Taijutsu was something she always strived to be better in and struggled with so it’s something she’s had to overcome with a lot of hard work and training. Still often bumps into corners she doesn’t always see.
NAIVE: Tori is very quick to forgive others, and is still unsure about how a lot of the world works, often spacing out during difficult conversations and only tuning into what directions she needs to complete. She is easy to take advantage of and manipulate.
SENSITIVE: Tori has a sensitive heart and can get easily offended. She is very much someone that can’t take what she dishes out when it comes to verbal assaults.
This sensitive nature of hers really came out in her youth in the Akatsuki- amidst the puberty and unsure environment away from everything she knew, she would often spend her time holed up in her room crying hysterically when not training or out on some kind of mission.
MOODY: Tori can go from being really bubbly and energetic to completely detached and apathetic in just a moment if something hurts her feelings- she is also not herself in the mornings at all and takes a few hours to wake up.
INTELLIGENT: Tori is an avid reader with an outstanding imagination and can break down concepts of a variety of subjects with ease, being able to explain her own prerogative in a professional manner that starks her very stupid sense of humor. Loves to learn and will research just about anything for fun and for the sole purpose of just knowing something new. Fun facts, if you will!
She is able to learn rather quickly and apply skills in the ways meant to as well as coming up with her own techniques surrounding them to better suit her fighting style and the harrowing situations she faces in battle.
DRAMATIC: Tori is subject to dramatic outbursts stemming from her sensitive nature and insecurity. She has exaggerated mannerisms and when socializing will try and do whatever she can to make others laugh and this feels like a performance within itself.
EAGER TO PLEASE (to a detriment): Tori is pretty desperate for positive attention and to make someone feel better she will do just about anything to get it, even if it means she’ll get hurt.
OBLIVIOUS: She can be completely unaware of what’s going on in her surroundings when she spaces out, and just doesn’t always use her brain which can cause her to trip, to misunderstand a social cue, etc. If she isn’t careful she can easily lose the upper hand amidst a fight.

Tori was war torn from a small island located somewhere in Sicily and placed in Kohona as a child. She was enrolled in the academy, and trained under Maito Gai for a short period of time to have her caught up in taijutsu, having been enrolled in the Ninja Academy from a later age than most. It was noted that she had severe setbacks in socialization and a few behavioral problems from a young age. These were addressed, and she was occasionally given accommodations for issues surrounding social anxiety and having to pair with others. She had struggles with weight, and arrived mildly overweight, which caused her to get bullied at the academy. She lost 25 lbs by her last year in the Academy, and starts to change her sense of style. During her time in the academy- she was noted to have a particular affinity for genjutsu- Iruka-sensei had pushed her to study just about everything surrounding the topic of it. She was seated next to Sasuke- who, according to Iruka’s knowledge, would be the only other place she could acquire any more knowledge of genjutsu. This made it a million times harder for her to make friends with others.
After being placed on Team 7, when Akatsuki members Kisame and Itachi visited the village to obtain Naruto, Tori was able to capture Kisame in a genjutsu based illusion- if only for a mere second. It was Kisame’s mission report that sealed her fate, as mere days afterwards- Tori was kidnapped in the middle of the night and thrust into unknown territory. When she awoke, there was a dull pain in the back of her left eye- she was also wrapped in bandages- hooked up to wires that transfused large amounts of chakra into her body. Utterly panic stricken, she pushed herself to the corner of the bed she had been previously lying in with pure terror painted on her face, her body in immense pain- as she was told she was the newest member of their organization and that she would be getting trained under Uchiha Itachi- the man behind the bloody Uchiha clan massacre. She trained under Itachi for years in Akatsuki and feels a close attachment to him as well as her other co-workers, despite the fact they are honestly some kinda fucked up people. She tends to adjust herself accordingly when around others, despite her nerves.
In order to inhabit her Sharingan eye- she receives regular chakra infusions. It became inconsistent for a brief lapse of time of upon Orochimaru leaving the Akatsuki and has since found a means of obtaining them regularly.
Tori opened up an orphanage, and actively protested Sasuke's jail time until she was threatened with it herself + and asked to stop by him. She has collaborated with Sakura on providing mental health resources for ninja and obtained her degree in psychology.
Has quite a bit of knowledge on psychology- due to mental issues she had as a kid and researched herself. She incorporates this within her genjutsu- often using images of people’s common fears into her illusions. If she knows the person well, she can make this experience a lot worse for them as her jutsu usually involves killing a person really brutally in some kind of nightmare-ish way. REALLY SPECIFIC BUT I FEEL LIKE… if Itachi was at the peak of angst and pissy that this random girl got the Sharingan and like… in one of their interactions (with no actual intent to doing it) but pretending to take out her eye she’d start laughing and be like: “What were you going to do with it? Eat it like a grape???” Has a hard time sleeping and literally always has. Can’t wake up in the morning- she’s especially cranky then. STEALS EVERYONE IN THE AKATSUKI’S SPARE FISHNETS FOR REAL. She always destroys hers on complete accident because she’s really clumsy. Recites poetry to herself when she’s alone. Genuinely talks to herself when she thinks she’s alone. Chronic morning tummy aches because she always eats a midnight meal or snack- Frequent daydreamer. Prone to spacing out. Likes collecting little knick-knacks. Typically something creepy. Had a little stash of it for years where she lived whilst in Akatsuki. Very much wants to like! Wear red and black themed makeup to match her Sharingan when she stops feeling so guilty about having it. But still doesn’t because she just. She always WILL feel guilty about that. Wore a blindfold for a couple of days after the surgery to try and respect Itachi’s family and felt so ashamed that she shouldn't see at all. It didn’t last long and she received many bruises from bumping into literally everything. Sticks to the eyepatch. Often tripped into someone , couldn’t catch something, couldn’t fucking see while adjusting her depth perception in training Loves reading horror stories. Is afraid of the dark and up all night thinking there is a fucking ghost in the room. It doesn’t matter if she doesn’t sense the chakra or whatever she is scared shitless. Often slept next to Sasuke when they had to go on missions together. Often ends up in Itachi's room on the floor to sleep while in the Akatsuki.
