Masaki is the heir to the Nakahara clan, a clan who formerly hailed from Kirigakure but due to decline in social status, were lured to affiliating with Orochimaru in hopes of becoming a dominant family in Otogakure. He is very tense and anxiety-ridden due to the high expectations his family has on him. Doesn't really like having to work with Orochimaru but doesn't have the strength to stand up for himself and leave right away.
