“The Leaf is still recovering from the war,” The words roll gently from his tongue, a whisper almost carried by the wind. In contrast to her own, his feet glide to the branches like the gliding feathers of a bird, no sound or trace of disturbance, though if one cared enough to notice there was a slight tell of tenseness of his shoulders that revealed an unease at being so high up on the treetops. “It seems as if their numbers were the most affected overall and the price of winning is higher than just past losses.”
