Hyō has a shark-like appearance, complete with two-toned sandy colored skin, leopard spots (rosettes) similar to that of leopard sharks covering his upper arms, shoulders, neck, & back. He has half-lidded gray eyes, 3 sets of curved facial markings under his eyes along with freckles that go across his face from the upper cheeks & bridge of his nose, gills on shoulders, & sharp teeth. He has blue hair in a wolf-cut with fringe bangs that ends at the shoulders.
He also has piercings: one on the left side of his bottom lip, 2 on the lobe (one of which is styled as a fishhook), & 2 toward the tops of each ear.
He opts to wear the Kiri forehead protector on his upper arm just above the elbow. Instead of the typical Kiri flak jacket, he chose to wear something similar to the standard attire of the Seven Swordsmen: a dark sleeveless shirt paired with matching pants, provided with a waist guard, & striped arm & leg-warmers. Hyō typically carries himself with an aloof, nonchalant demeanor.
